Review of Google Notebook

I must say that I admire Google for their attempts to be the #1 producer of useful free products to the general public and organizations.

I have fallen in love with Google as they have so many tools that allow for me to be more efficient in my work.

I would like to take the time to review Google Notebook which is new application that allows you to clip and collect information as you surf the web. I must say that I like that I am able to access my notes wherever I go and it is not confined to just my computer alone.

About the Features

It allows you to export the notes into Google Documents and can save the document and export it save offline. It can also be exported to Maps, HTML, and allowed to print the notes on the spot.

I have found that I am able to create an unlimited amount of notebooks and the space for all of the notes are limitless. The only limit is when at times I happen to save a note that might be too long such as 20 page article however I am able to split the note and save it in half. I rarely have this occurence though so I do not think that this will be something for you to worry about.

I have an icon of it the Notebook application on my Google taskbar. The only thing that I need is an actual picture of the notebook so that I will know it is the Notebook itself, however it is possible that I did not update my toolbar.

The Notebook also has the standard features of changing fonts, colors, and sizes. The Notebooks has a search option that allows you to be able to search through your notes to find information. It also has a feature that allows for you to be able to share it with others or keep it private.

For each note, you are able to add a label or keywords to define the note, and to also leave comments on the notes.

So overall this application has a lot of potential and I look forward to seeing the additional developments that they will have.

I absolutely love using it and that I am able to access it anywhere I go.

Social Bookmarking

I have been enjoy the social bookmarking sites as I have been able to find many great sites through there. However, the problem is that there are so many websites that it is hard to go through it all. In addition to the fact that at times the tags are incorrect for the website and does not always show up while searching for information.

My favorite site to save bookmarks when I do not want to permanently bookmark in my Favorites/Bookmarks through my Firefox browser.

So far I have run into:

http://del.icio.us/
I have managed to turn a lot of my friends to this site. So many of us out there have gotten so used to bookmarking through our web browser and at times need to access the internet through other means such as the library then alas do not have access to our bookmarks. So this site allows you to access bookmarks that you have added to the site through your personal account anywhere you are.

This is social bookmarking for use with books. I love this site, they have groups that you can join of all different genres. If you can't find a group that suites your needs then you can easily create one. I have found many great resources through this site.

This is one of my favorite social bookmarking sites.
They even have a toolbar that you can download to your browser window.
It will allow you to add links to your favorites, see what your friends have
bookmarked and share bookmarks.

Share about books you have read, and find books that others have read.

I bet you can tell that I am into reading.

Bestest and Coolest Websites Around!

I do a pethora of research and I am always running into cool sites that are so great or Firefox extensions that are very useful. I do notice at times there is a great extension but there are no comments from others about it, so here is where I come in.

This blog is mostly for me to keep all of my cool sites in one place besides my bookmarks which are of course organized however there are some sites that I cannot think of the best folders to put them in. Also it would be great to have a little explanation of what the tool is all about as it is easy to forget.

So I do hope that you find this blog as helpful as I do, and please feel free to leave a donation as soon I get that button up here.

Please do enjoy!
